Does anyone know if there's a Chimney Sweep in the valley?

We just had Master Sweep out of Tonasket. They come to the valley often. Not cheap, but then who is? 509-322-0854.

We have used Alju Stove and Fireplace out of Omak for a few years now and have been real pleased with their knowledge and expertise.

Maybe we'll try Alju next year. They instilled our stove decades ago, but I didn't know they did chimney cleaning.

I know getting on the roof is a scary move sometimes but if your able to get up there and feel secure invest in the brushes, you can do everybit of as good a job and no kidding cleaning the chimney is cake some a them outfits are crooked as theyll find something else to charge you for thats unnecessary.i aint saying our local guys are like that but ive exoerienced it.truth.anyway my good buddy was stoved up about like me actually worse but he cleaned his chimney right in his living room using his drill and brush incremental brush extensions.used his shop vac to draw dust and keep from settling in the house.no shit, google it.this pal of mine was rhe snohomish building inspecter retired and on oxygen and he wasnt about to get on the roof.he made it look easy and he was thorough on it.he was a wealth of knowledge.so i know you can do it by investing in the brush and extensions.oh ya i get it cleaning the chimney is important,i been around a while, weve lost several homes since i been here to chimney fires.i 4 people off the top of my head that had chimney fires.i know for fact 3 of em didnt sleep well that nite.but you can do it yourself

Something to thing about on chimney cleaning. is your home owners insurance. Insurance companies will want proof your chimney was cleaned due to a fire caused by a chimney fire.

Just an fyi if you do decide to try cleaning it yourself, there are different brush types for different stove pipe types. The wrong kind of brush for the pipe you have will scratch it and actually cause more buildup inside.
