Tuesday, August 4, 2026 AM
• The commissioners discuss spending $16,000 for panels and other equipment for a new arena at the Fairgrounds. They’ll use some of the money being earned by renting part of the grounds for the current fire camp.
• The commissioners set aside time next Monday to discuss the possibility of a second try for a levy lid lift in November. They feel that by Monday, most of the ballots from the Aug. 4 election will be counted, and they can make plans.
• Kent Kovalenko, Solid Waste Manager, updates the commissioners about the county’s transfer stations.
• Meeting adjourned for the day at 11:35.

The agenda for the week of August 10 had not been published when our weekly update was sent on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Check the county’s website on Monday for the agenda.

Andy Hover indicated to me in an email, that they are not going to discuss putting the increase in property taxes on the ballot at the meeting,, He was pretty clear that my perception was in error. b
