Century Link landline out south of Twisp

Post by RandySea » Sun Aug 02, 2026 2:15 pm

Once again, our CenturyLink landline is out of order. Calling us gets an answer that our line is busy. This happens at least once a year, when a branch falls across a main cable along the Twisp Carlton Rd.

Anyone else having this problem? I know there are fewer and fewer people with landlines, so it may not be obvious to others.

I'll drive the road later to see if I can find any obvious downed line. Not that it would matter to Century Link if I called it in. They always say the circuits are fine and I have to have someone come to my house in a week or two.

Just checked. There is a branch hanging across the line just south of Beaver Pond Rd. The nearest telephone pole has a tag ending in 88530. The first number isn't readable. Could be a 3 or an 8.

Tech support online is not working: "technical problem"

Trying to call in. It is painfully slow and so far, the Ai response is not helpful.

"Health checks" on my service, of course show nothing wrong.

But they will send someone tomorrow. They won't anything wrong until to go off my property and check the line.

The long repair ticket # is sent too fast to write down.
