• The commissioners, Shelley Keitzman (Human Resources and Risk Management), Jody Barcus (Interim Sheriff), Brad Rush (Chief Corrections Deputy) and Mike Worden (Undersheriff) discuss heart monitors and other devices used to track and monitor inmates at the jail. They also discuss possible sources of revenue to purchase this new equipment.
• Commissioners and Roni Holder Deifenbach, Executive Director of the Economic Alliance, discuss how to allocate the .09 dollars for the next three-year round of awards by the Economic Alliance. The decide that they’ll allocate $2,000,000, with $1,500,000 going to infrastructure projects and planning, and $500,000 going to emerging opportunities.
• The commissioners, Pam Johnson (Treasurer), Lisa Schreckengost (Finance Manager), and Cari Hall (Auditor), hold the monthly Finance Committee meeting. Cari Hall brings up the issue of the Probation Office’s budget possibly running short by the end of the year.
• Josh Thomson, County Engineer says that a bridge was damaged by the Kaiser Canyon fire. Only one lane can be used at a time. Federal money may be available to fix the bridge. Also, some guard rails were burned, but not very many.
• Meeting adjourned at 11:40.
