Plug-in solar panel demonstration

Post by treeguy » Mon Jun 08, 2026 8:08 am

Third Act Washington (TAWA) volunteers will travel around the state this summer to demonstrate balcony (plug-in) solar panels. Also to talk with voters and their representatives about legislation allowing plug-in solar, and ways that we can lower the costs of roof-top solar permitting.
If interested, come to a meet-up on Thursday, June 25, 4 PM – 6 PM, at the Sabold residence at 17 Bean Road, Winthrop, to share information about what other states have included in successful plug-in solar legislation. We’ll also discuss what we need from our legislature to make solar more affordable.

In Europe, a person can go to their equivalent of Home Depot and walk out with a solar panel and do-it-yourself (or hire someone to do it) kit. Not legal here, but the time's coming.
