Go Fund Me-Bev Nieves
Help support Bev Nieves during her cancer treatment for Cutaneuos Squamous Cell Carcinoma ! Many of you already know dear Bev and and how she brightens up any room with her great sense of humor and friendly conversation. For those that do not know Bev yet, she is a single 79 year old woman who lives and works in the restaurant industry in the Methow Valley. Since February 1st, 2026 Bev has not been able to work due to her cancer treatment, pain levels, and restricted activities (notlifting objects over 5 pounds, walking limited to 10 minutes). Bev's
savings are being drained due to medical expenses, travel to medical appointments, and lack of ability
work. She estimates a cost of $400-$500/ week for housing and living expenses in Wenatchee
during radiation treatment 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Her loss of income, medical expenses, as well as
transportation and housing expenses are expected to be several thousand dollars and they will cause an
extreme financial hardship for her. She looks forward to returning work after radiation treatment is
completed :).
It is posted on Facebook. Plug in Bev Nieves Go Fund Me and it should bring up the site. I am not allowed to post the link on this BB.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Go Fund Me-Bev Nieves
Please tell Bev about "Our House" in Wenatchee. She can google it. It is run by Cancer Care of North Central Washington and they provide a free (or donations if you can afford it) place to stay (Monday through Friday noon) while receiving cancer treatment. It is a wonderful place. I know several people who have stayed there and all of them have reported a very positive experience. Best wishes to Bev.
Re: Go Fund Me-Bev Nieves
For those that would rather not use Bev's Go Fund me site, people can send donations directly to her PO Box, which is Box 72, Winthrop, Wa. 98862-0072

Re: Go Fund Me-Bev Nieves
Hey Pearl!
We notice on the go fund for Bev it has not reached even half of what the goal is but do realize folks can and have been sending checks to the PO box you indicated as well.
First, are there other ways people can send money and second, we would like to know if there are other ways we can help for example: Lawn mowing, lifting, shopping etc etc??
Many thanks
Tom and Bethann

Re: Go Fund Me-Bev Nieves
For those concerned they may get a similar diagnosis I want to share that there are different ways to interpret troubling symptoms that may fall under the "cancer" banner.
2 years ago, I had a squamous cell skin anomaly by my ear that was observed at the local clinic. It was self-diagnosed because an official diagnosis would have necessitated getting a biopsy which I declined to get against doctor recommendations. I trusted the healing process of my own body and continued to focus in on a healthier lifestyle. I year after the doctors recommendation my skin anomaly completely healed. When instances like this happen, they go under the radar and they do not support the established narrative,
People get quite debilitated during and after treatment and I can say with confidence that this is not caused by the disease, but from the treatment. People get confused from what they read about the details of cases like this, and they believe it must be the disease that weakens the person.
I am honestly relating my firsthand experience. You have choices. Agency for health is in your hands. My symptoms are in my medical file along with pics.
