Methow At Home supports older adults to continue living at home as they age by offering help around the house and engaging programming. The variety of needs is vast, but our volunteer pool is not - we need your help!
Can you volunteer to support a neighbor with tasks that become harder as we age? Our next volunteer training is May 6th, so it's a great time to get started! The time requirements are flexible and can work around your schedule. We also have specialized programs if you are looking for deeper investment or working one-on-one with someone.
Here's how it works:
Once you become a volunteer you can select specific categories that fit your interests, such as transportation assistance, meal assistance, cleaning, yardwork, etc. Twice a week you will receive an email with opportunities that fit your defined categories.
For example: If you are willing to help with transportation, you might receive an email that has a volunteer opportunity to drive an older adult to the grocery store and then back home. You can choose to respond to this opportunity and arrange a time and date that works for you and the person needing the service. It's that simple!
Methow At Home members share their service needs and our volunteers respond with action. If you are looking for positive ways to give back to your local community and make a real difference in the lives of others — Join Us!
