Communications Technician Position Part Time

Hello
Methow Valley Communications District is looking for a Communications Technician

Communications Technician Pay is approximately $1166.00 for 20 hours per month.

Experience:
Certified tower climber with Competent Person designation (Gravitec or equivalent)

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Demonstrated experience working at height on communications towers

Practical working knowledge of RF systems in shared tower environments, including lower-frequency broadcast (TV) systems and higher-frequency ISP and cellular equipment

Experience with low-voltage telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber and wireless systems

Ability to safely access and work at remote, rugged mountain top sites, including sites not accessible by vehicle.

Physically fit and capable of hiking with equipment to sites and working in all seasons and weather conditions

Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

Holds or is eligible for WA State 09 Low Voltage Electrician License (sufficient hours/experience acceptable)

Experience working at multi-tenant tower sites

No FAA credentials are required. FCC licensing is not required; however, a strong understanding of RF fundamentals in shared tower environments is essential.
