CenturyLink landline out on Twisp-Carlton Rd

Post by RandySea » Fri Dec 26, 2025 4:36 pm

We're 4 miles south of Twisp. Landline went out around 3 pm. Of course, C-L says there is no problem on our line. Sending someone next Thursday. Just south of us, someone has service. Wondering if anyone else's service is down.

I have dial tone, but when I call a number I get a beep-beep-beep failed to go through signal. Up Alder Road off Twisp-Carlton.

However, I can call the landline from my cell and get through.

Our landline has no dial tone. Callers go right to voicemail.

The line came back after a couple of hours. This morning, it's out again. No dial tone.

Sunday afternoon and I am bi-directionally functional. Cute way of saying I can call in and out.

You are lucky, Slade. We are still non-directional. That is, no in, now out.

Landline was working this morning. A mostly unintelligible message on my answering machine said it was fixed on Friday but that certainly wasn't the case.

A message on my mobile phone said something had blown, possibly due to a power outage, but now it was fixed.

Well, at least they admitted that something was broken.
