Hi there Methow Valley folks. I am currently in search of work in or adjacent to the valley. I've listed some of my professional strengths and experiences below, and if you or someone you know is hiring for aligned or trainable work, please reach out! I'm open to creative ideas. Professional experience:

- 5 years of teaching, curriculum writing, and research experience - particularly in various areas of ecology (fire ecology, botany, wildlife ecology, mycology, and more), outdoor & experiential education, land stewardship, environmental politics, creative writing, art, dance, somatics, and philosophy and critical theory. I have experience teaching all ages.

- Multiple years of experience in field biology, ecological monitoring, botany surveys, and wildlife biology.

- Firefighter Type II certified, with experience supporting prescribed and cultural burns.

- Experience in land stewardship and restoration projects, particularly supporting indigenous-led stewardship and conservation.

- Experience as a backpacking expedition guide. WFR certified.

- Many years of experience as a farmer (vegetables, fruit, flowers, herbal, biodynamic, permaculture).

- Experience in food services as a chef & cook in an industrial kitchen. Experience in team management. WA Food Handler certified. Experience as a bartender as well.

- Experienced at facilitating conflict transformation, restorative justice & accountability processes, and community culture-building spaces, including internal organizational review.

- Experience in community & political organizing

- 3 years of tutoring experience, particularly in the humanities, writing, and public speaking.

- Experience in customer service and retail.

- Some experience in trade work accompanied by the eagerness to learn and the ability to pick things up quickly.
