Red bell peppers

Has anyone every gotten bell peppers to turn red in the valley? Wondering if it was worth trying a hoop house.

Yes! A hoop house works. I got a bumper crop this year. They were slow to turn red, so I did some research and when you see alot of green ones and it seems like it may be getting late in the season, go through and pinch off flowers and any side stems. Be ruthless and the peppers will turn red very soon. I pinch off white flowers early as well, but not as aggressive. I think I pinched the side stems off starting the beginning of Sept. Gosh, I should keep better track.
