I have a christmas tree with a great story.at least its great to me
First ill describe the tree then ill tell the story.its an absolutely perfectly symmetrical about 30ft tall its narrow from top to bottom like a noble or high alpine type fir tree.its going to have to come out at some point while I can still manage it myself and ive been putting it off over the years due to the beauty of this tree.youll like my story I think
I have a flatbed trailer and truck and can deliver this tree.a family could bring the kids and you or I could harvest this tree and I'd transport it to your home and even help raise it if necessary.this tree I want to go to a nice family with real high ceilings like 20 to 30ft as I think it ashame to cut it lower due to what it is.im certain with our nice homes here someone has tall ceilings like that and want a tall tree.its narrow at the bottom so would fit nicely in a large living room without taking up tremendous space.it would be real hard to find a tree like this in the mountains and thats kinda why its still growing but just a little too close to my home like 10 or 12 ft away.i live in the upper valley and it would be a nice family outing coming up to harvest the family christmas tree.i have pics.now the story. In the latter 90s I broke ground to build my cabin.i staked off where I didn't want the excavator to tear up my native vegetation although there was plenty in the foot print of my foundation.i never thought twice about dozing that area for my small foundation.but what caught my eye was a seedling about 2ft tall.it was perfect in the way it was growing but I shrugged it off In 30 seconds but everytime I passed it it stopped me.it was perfect at 2ft tall different than all the other seedlings even a darker green.like a noble fir.then I started thinking to move it but was apprehensive as my idea was to have the excavator operator scoop it up and swing it out of the footprint of the foundation.i was scared I'd be looked at like a tree hugger or something but got the courage and asked Mike Schmitt to scoop it up.mike is a good ol boy and truth is I am too but this tree was awesome in branch arrangement and color.but Mike said no problem sure let's do it.so he scooped it up and swung it into a small swalel that has a bit higher water table through July and it took off to what it is today.a perfectly simetrical narrow dark green noble high alpine type tree.youll like it as it was always kinda special to me and I aint no tree hugger although we are all certainly environmentally concious.its just I didn't want to kill this little guy for some reason.youll like this tree provided you have tall ceilings in say like a log home.i think its fitting this tree could make a family real happy during this years holidays.thanks for reading this.360 333 9485

This is great.
I, and I’m sure others, would appreciate an epilogue!

"tree hugger" or not, I sure am glad you stopped by to tell that story! come back and tell us what all happens after all.

Thanks for sharing a great story! That definitely sounds like something Mike would do. If you haven’t had any takers on the tree yet, maybe reach out & see if any businesses might want it, or maybe one of our towns would like it for a community tree?

Thankyou Karen for your reply.I have been thinking about this tree thing for a few years now.Seriously.my original thought was a government type building like county, state, federal etc as its kinda like those tall trees used like that but I was stumped in how to do it in terms of who do you contact.youve inspired me as I never thought of a community tree and thank god we are small town informal walk in and tell em about my tree I need to donate.ill tell em to read my story on this board as its the truth obviously.i bet I can persuade em to look into it.maybe some people here that rub elbows with the decision makers will plant a seed as well.this tree that Mike so graciously replanted is as described, perfect.id be brimming with well being should the community get this tree.im mushy I guess but not overboard most of the time I just cant cut thing down for the bon fire.thankyou for your insite.ill be on it asap.

With such a beautiful and large tree, if you can't find another place to take it, you might reach out to a place like the Sun Mountain Lodge. They will have hundreds of people coming through their lobby over the holiday season, and it would be one way to share your beautiful tree with others.
