Tink-
I'm so glad you hear your offer to be point person for this dog. I keep seeing it too, and really want to help it, but my dog would not be ok with trying to help it too much... So it's nice to know I can call you if I see it again (which seems to happen all the time).
Thank You!!

How's the little guy doing? Haven't seen him when I drive through town, any luck?

Hey all,

Unfortunately, no good news. Our last confirmed sighting was on Sunday. We were able to get some experienced help and had a trap set but the dog never showed and it hasn't been back since. Worrying... The dog has been seen up as far as the smoke jumpers base so hopefully it's just on an adventure or maybe got it got spooked. The trapper said she's seen dogs return after many days so hopefully it will return.

Please keep an eye out but don't approach. We don't want to scare it more.

Thanks.

Howdy, I'm pretty sure I saw the dog crossing the street right by the Laundromat and Windemere with a women. The time was 5:40ish on the 26th. Sorry to have posted this a bit late, still helpful I hope. They looked like they knew each other, no collar, no leash though. He waited, nervous on the sidewalk to cross and he wasn't going to cross but then he crossed with her. There was another similar siting at the community center but the dog didn't leave with the person. Um, does anyone know anything about this? Maybe he's at the house he was sleeping at. Has the dog possibly found a home in Twisp?

Straight from the dogs mouth:
Two souls have connected, and the dog has bonded with the woman, I assume, who is the one mentioned above. She is feeding it and it stays close to her. I will try keep up with any new developments but it seems like the universe has taken care of it.

Good morning.

It does seem that the dog has selected a new owner. I've been in contact with her and due to financial concerns, she is worried that she won't be able to care for the dog. We are exploring options now and hope to keep the pair together.. I'll keep everyone posted.

Well awesome and thank you Judy and Tink for the clarification on the status of the dog. I will stop looking for the dog when I drive through Twisp in the morning. All's well that ends well and isn't it an amazing community that cares so. Good luck and love to both the new owner and dog!
