Hello! Im offering my services building custom traditional saunas for folks. Electric or wood-fired, following Finnish sauna design as closely as possible to create the best experience possible.
I come from a background of creative custom carpentry and want to build functional and beautiful saunas here in the Methow! We live in an amazing place with a climate begging for sauna culture and I’d love to make it a reality for people to enjoy in the winter months here.
I’m just getting my business off the ground and have a few projects in the hopper, would love to book/design more work throughout the winter and build for folks over the warmer months to get ready for next winter. If you’ve been dreaming up an epic backyard sauna then let’s chat!

Now that you have Max’s license number you should feel confident with hiring Sundog for your project. Max is being humble on here but for many years he’s been part of travel crew doing highly specialized artisan carpentry. Their stunning work has been featured on television and in many print publications and they have been retained all over the world.
Further, you’ll find max to be a fundamentally decent person who is a pleasure to work with.
He’s just hoping to do more work closer to home so he can have more Family time at his home here in the valley.

My husband and I started working with Max in December to build a custom electric sauna. Max was wonderful to work with - very communicative throughout the whole project, gave us multiple options on design and materials, always keeping our budget in mind, and took the time to ensure the details of the project were precise.

Do you advertise any other way besides the community bulletin? If someone wants a sauna they’ll look you up Im sure, unless your not from around here.
