Hello lovely Valley people!
I'm so sorry for interrupting your lives with this last-minute note. We have a wedding this weekend and a seasonal bug has taken out several of our crew. In a bit of a desperate position, needing 2 people for tomorrow night's rehearsal dinner and 3 people for Saturday setup/Saturday night's wedding dinner service.
Friday will be a family style rehearsal dinner in our Cascade Room for 58 people. Shift is 1pm - 10pm. Family style meaning not a plated service, no bussing and resetting after each course. We bring out a parade of food then maintain the tables. Super easy.
Saturday is the wedding dinner under the event tent on our front lawn, 78 guests, also served family style. Shift would look similar, 12-10pm. If you're able to arrive earlier to help with the setup, that would be GREAT!
If you can't jump in, I completely understand. You all have busy lives, and this is hitting you at the very last minute. If you could please send up the bat signal to anybody you know that would be able to help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Prior server/banquet experience is preferred, not required.
Pay is $17/hour plus a split of the 20% gratuity tied to the entire event. Dress is black, dark blue or dark grey button down and black, dark blue or dark grey pants.
If you or somebody in your network can work, please text me or have them text me ASAP. Text is the best way to reach me today as we're in the midst of setup and prep. 206-251-0788.
Thank you all!
Cheers!

Banquet Staff Needed for Wedding at Casia Lodge This Weekend
Re: Banquet Staff Needed for Wedding at Casia Lodge This Weekend
You might get some takers if you offered more than a little over minimum wage. Just sayin.

If you look at what the average cost of an event like that can run then shying away from it over the hourly wage is a bad idea, because your hourly wage isn't what matters the most here. Depending on how many employee's there are that gratuity split could be very surprising, so don't step over a dollar to pick up a dime :)

Adding to the comments: I served at a wedding there in the Spring and it was good money with the tip split. Casia Lodge is gorgeous and the managers are nice. It's a long day but a good part-time gig.
