When: March 3, 2026 at 7pm (doors at 6:30)
Where: Winthrop Barn

Getting more than what you pay for: the real value of local food.

The choice to buy local food is often rooted in deeply personal values, which can vary significantly from one person to the next. Yet when we delve into the true value of local food, it becomes clear that no matter the motivation, even the smallest purchases can have rippling effects that go far beyond your fridge. Micha Ide, from the Washington State Department of Agriculture's Regional Markets Program, will discuss the many ways buying locally farmed, raised, and produced foods benefits consumers, small businesses, and regional communities all while creating a more resilient food system.

This presentation is free and open to the public.
