The Mazama Firefighters of OCFD6 will be hosting a casual reception to honor Alan Fahnestock's retirement as a volunteer firefighter. We'll be at the Mazama Public House on Saturday the 13th from 4:30 to 6:30pm and are pretty sure Alan will be there, too (just kidding, his wife assures us he'll be there).
Alan was a dedicated firefighter for nearly 15 years, was selfless with his time and knowledge, and, among many other things, was the driving force behind the awesome Mazama fire hydrant we all now benefit from.
This a a great chance for everyone in the community to recognize Alan for his service, meet other district firefighters, and maybe even pick up an application to become a volunteer firefighter yourself!
We hope to see you on Saturday afternoon, but if you can't make it, you can post a note here and we'll make sure he sees it.
