Mark your calendars!! Methow Recycles is offering a three-part series of Sustainable Living Skills Workshops for learners of all ages.
Our first class on Tuesday August 25th from 5-7pm will be about Food Preservation. We will meet at the Room One teaching kitchen and will learn different ways to preserve the harvest from two local food preservation and fermentation experts. Walk away with your own jar of Kimchi, fruit leather, and other dehydrated snacks! Class is free, please register at www.methowrecycles.org
*If you are bringing children to learn alongside you, you must accompany them for the duration of the class. We unfortunately cannot offer childcare*
The second class will be Tool Sharpening and Repair, held on Tuesday September 1st from 5-7pm at Your Space at TwispWorks. Come learn sharpening techniques on a variety of equipment so you can keep your kitchen knives and tools in top shape! Basic repair and maintenance will also be covered.
The series will finish with a third class on an Introduction to Reupholstery. Reupholstering legend Sarah Jo Lightner will be teaching this highly-requested class where you will learn the basics of reupholstery and even walk away with your own (small!) reupholstered piece of furniture. This class will take place on Tuesday September 22nd from 5-7pm at Your Space at TwispWorks.
You can register for any or all classes at our website above.
