We haven't determined the exact length, but is is somewhere between two hours, fifteen minutes to maybe two hours, twenty-five or so. It depends on final pacing and intermission time.
Thanks for asking. We're still in rehearsals, but the actors are focused and wonderful. We are looking forward to Opening Night.

Question: What famous actors...and one writer...have played the Stage Manager in "Our Town"?

Answer: Famous actors who have played the Stage Manager in Thornton Wilder's Our Town include Frank Craven, Paul Newman, Spalding Gray, Henry Fonda, Helen Hunt, Michael Shannon, Jim Parsons, and Thornton Wilder himself. The role is a central, narrator-like figure who guides the audience through the story of Grover's Corners.

See you at The Merc.

Here's another question:

Has Our Town won any prizes?

Thornton Wilder's play Our Town won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938, and a 1988 Broadway production received the Tony Award for Best Revival and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival.

The actors in The Merc Playhouse show should all win best actor awards.

Come see!

We sat next to a woman with a lifelong love of theater. She has directed plays. We agreed that Broadway actors could not improve this performance.
