Looking for input

Post by Chogirl97 » Tue Mar 25, 2025 1:10 pm

If a new bakery or dessert style shop opened up in the area, what would you like to see there? Cakes, cupcakes, pies, etc. Wanting to get a general idea of what people are wanting to see before delving into other research.

Any thing across the board. I like muffins. Without fruit. Bran, poppy seed, plain. Scones. A GOOD scone. Not one that looks like you painted it with corn syrup. Im not into overly sweet frosted pastries. But I do like a nice cinnamon roll. Whatever you bake, make it good. Put love in it. I have recipes from the bakery at the HiSpot. Always willing to share. Croissants. Yum.

I can teach you how to make the best scones ever. I made them for all the first class airlines years ago and for air force 2. I have a 20 quart mixer for sale also and a sheeter if interested.

Not what I'm looking for, but I know there is a lot of demand for wedding cakes.

Thank you everyone for the input! For the vegan suggestion, would you want the whole place to be vegan or if there was a dedicated area for all the vegan suggestions would you still come? Genuine question as I want to do something that everyone wants to go to, something to bring the community closer together.

Thank you so much for the offer Rebecca! I'd love to learn a new recipe. As for the equipment I'm not quite in the market for it yet but if you still have it when I'm ready I will definitely take them.

Judy, according to my husband, I can make a pretty mean cinnamon roll so I might have to make you some sometime! :)

Hey Rebecca, my baker friend would like to purchase your equipment.
She’s having login issues.

It most likely would not survive if the whole place was plant based. People for some reason are put off by it. I'm just suggesting that there be options for the vegan valley residents and guests.
