Hopefully we'll be able to give this little guy or gal a new loving forever home.

Thanks for the love, Judy! Could I borrow the large dog crate you have for sale? Maybe we can catch him.
Fingers crossed.

I saw the dog trotting from the Idol awhile towards the Senior center this am. It is a med. sized brown and black dog, not skinny, and not really little. I called to it and it stopped and thought about it, but then kept going. I bet if you were walking another dog it may come over.

Hi, I saw the dog this morning, heading west on 2 ND AVE. The dog does seem to move with purpose, maybe it knows where its going?

An Update:

So we know where the dog is sleeping at night and the person who lives there is gaining its' trust slowly. We tried to put a collar on it this evening and the dog was having none of it. We're going to try again tomorrow morning. We'll keep trying until we are able to get it.

The dog is smart and very cautious. It's best to leave him alone as he bolts if approached...sometimes into traffic. It also likes to travel, sometimes on the highway, sometimes by the backways.

Please keep an eye out so it doesn't get hit.

Send good thoughts for our next attempt and I will post an update when we have one.

Thanks for all the texts and phone calls of sightings and encounters. It's heartwarming to see the town come together to rescue a scared pup.

Can a live trap be set up at this location for the dog? I don’t know how it’s made it this long, swimming across the river and weaving in and out of traffic.

Just spotted running the alley behind the laundromat (6:15 PM), cut over into the Eagles parking lot, crossing the highway safely, and scurried past Quality Lube down into the center of town. In the time it took me to set down what I was doing, grab a bag of treats, and put some boots on it had already made it hundreds of yards away. Incredible.

Hello all,

We're still trying to catch the dog. We almost caught it but it was able to squirm out of the crate before we got them secured. It's been on super high alert since then and we've been slowly regaining trust.

If you see the dog, please ignore it. It's much more trusting when it feels safe. The dog bolts when approached and with everyone stopping and trying entice them, it has kept the pooch on high alert.

Thanks everyone for looking out.

Hope the cutie can stay safe until we can catch it.

Well everyone be careful too. A frightened dog may bite. As anyone tried to speak to it in a different language?
