Currently shopping for a new cell provider. Does anyone have opinions on provider coverage here in the Valley?
Thanks,
Tyler

Re: Cell Phone Coverage
I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile last year and the coverage has been excellent in comparison. I have 5G or faster almost everywhere. Faster service in Winthrop than using Methownet, so usually we'll hotspot if we need it.

Re: Cell Phone Coverage
This is highly dependent on where you spend your time and/or where you need your mobile phone to work. For example, Verizon seems to be the only provider that works west of the Weeman Bridge.
Re: Cell Phone Coverage
ATT also works past the Weeman Bridge. However, both ATT and Verizon have limited towers upvalley so they both tend to have fairly extended outages in the area not infrequently.
Verizon valleywide has seemed to be more overloaded than other carriers when there are lots of people here (tourists), and so will see much slower speeds, rate-limiting, and other delays at peak times.
I highly recommend the prepaid service of US Mobile. They're very well priced, with unlimited data and shared data pool options. They provide all three major carriers, and their big - and unique - benefit over others is the ability to port your service between the carriers (it's like a number port, but it's all internal to their service). For most plans it just costs $2 and you can be on a different carrier for when you're traveling, or spending time with family where your main carrier doesn't have good coverage, and then easily switch back on your return. If you decide to go with them, and you found my recommendations useful, you can use my referral code: 305E86EF when you signup.

Re: Cell Phone Coverage
I have T-mobile and it works well around the valley, other than above Weeman bridge. Best part is they have a $25/mo plan….that I have never exceeded the limits for data, messages or calls.
