I am subscribed to WSDOT alerts for email alerts for I-90 Snoqualmie Pass. Today I got one with subject line:
"Heavy snow expected on I-90 Snoqualmie Pass. Travel will
be challenging, consider delaying trip. Power outages
for cameras and signage expected."
It looked just like every other alert I have received, with all the logos, boilerplate, and disclaimers looking very realistic. But Pass weather reports show no giant snow coming. The receptionist at WSDOT could not find this alert either.
So it looks like a definite scam. Whether it is my email or the WSDOT email system I don't know.

Re: Contradictory WSDOT alerts for I-90 Snoqualmie Pass
WSDOT main number receptionist an hour ago said she didn't show any significant alerts. Their Snoqualmie Pass weather page on the WSDOT app shows some snow possible tonight but nothing serious.
I don't know what is right. I'm just glad I'm staying home in the Methow this weekend.
