2006 Subaru Outback for sale. 185,000 miles. 4-cylinder. $2,200.

The Good:
-New head gaskets and timing belt at ~165,000 miles
-New alternator at ~175,000
-AWD working great
-Summer tires in ok shape
-Winter tires with good tread (studless) on separate rims. Bridgestone Blizzacks
-New CV axles on both sides within the last year
-Heat works great, AC works well enough
-Trailer Hitch
-Extra-wide cross bars (great for lumber, rocket box and bike racks, etc.)

The Less Ideal:
-L steering gear (rack and pinion) needs to be replaced sometime soon.
-Running lights don’t turn off when the car is turned off (you can take the fuse out to preserve the battery but that’s a bit of a pain).
-R passenger door sensor needs to be replaced
-Body damage front R side
-Paint job is chipped/faded on the front hood and roof
-Rear window defrost doesn’t work
-Trailer hitch is
-Some corrosion on the battery

This Outback is a great do-it-all Methow Valley car. You can haul your bike, skis, lumber, etc with great traction and reasonable gas mileage. Like any Subaru, it’s great in the snow. It’s ready for a new owner who has time to get the steering gear and electrical issue fixed. We can refer you to a local Subaru mechanic for that work. We bought an EV and don’t have time to repair it right now.

Please contact Cam at 971-717-1334. Car can be seen in Heckendorn neighborhood of Winthrop. I can text pictures.
