At Methow Valley Interpretive Center on the TwispWorks Campus
The Chewuch River is a primary tributary stream to the Methow River and a vital stronghold for several imperiled aquatic species including spring chinook salmon, steelhead, bull trout, Pacific lamprey, and several species of freshwater mollusks. Habitat conditions in the Chewuch have deteriorated over time from a variety of sources and work is underway to address these impairments and support the evolution and return of the watershed into a more vibrant and self-sustaining ecosystem. Come learn about the recent Chewuch River Assessment Project and what it reveals about this beloved waterscape.
