Methow Conservancy First Tuesday: the Once and Future Moon

Astronomer and astrophysicist Shane Larson is back in the Methow Valley to teach us about the Moon. In this talk Shane will discuss some of the observational history of the Moon, some of the current thinking about the Moon and its importance to Earth, the history of spacecraft and human exploration of the Moon, and what humans' aspirations for the future of lunar exploration are.

PS: We had to do a venue change after the Methow Valley News had already gone to print. The Winthrop Barn is being used as command for the Ptarmigan Fire. The new venue is the Twisp Valley Grange.
