NOAA Heat Risk is predicted to be red (major) on Wednesday, July 22nd.

Beat the heat at a local cooling center!

Twisp Grange
344 W 2nd Ave, Twisp, WA
Open 5:00-8:00pm
The Grange has free WI-FI, ADA restroom, water, and a variety of games

Methow Valley Community Center
204 E Methow Valley Hwy, Twisp, WA
Open 9:00am to 5:00 pm
The Community Center has free WI-FI and restrooms

Twisp Library (Inside the Community Center)
Open 11:00am - 6:00pm

Winthrop Library
112 Norfolk Rd, Winthrop, WA
Open 11:00am - 6:00pm
The library has free WI-FI, restrooms and water.

Each cooling center provides a safe refuge to rest and escape dangerous heat. All have air
filtration systems to remove harmful smoke particles. Pets are not permitted unless they are service animals.

Avoid heat stroke – stay hydrated and out of the sun, wear loose fitting cloths,
avoid strenuous activity. Know the signs of heat stroke including high body temperature,
confusion, fainting, trouble speaking, fast pulse, rapid breathing, vomiting.

Methow Valley United Methodist Church is also open today until 5:00.
193B Old Twisp Hwy, between Twisp and Winthrop just off the highway

We have AC and clean air, plus WiFi, puzzles, books for kids and adults, space for craft projects and visiting, a children's room with toys and crafts/activities, microwave, and of course water. The facility is fully accessible, with ADA bathrooms, wide doorways, no ramps or stairs.
