ANY WORD ON A METAL DRIVE THIS YEAR?

My thoughts on a metal drive are that no old farm machinery should be "scrapped" and/or removed from the valley. If owners of such machinery do not want it on their property, the same procedures that would be hauling it to a metal drive, could be used to haul it to a not yet established, but possible, retirement home where it could remain in long term reserve, should social, cultural, political realities change the food supply chains that keep us with food on the local tables. What was once high tech, may some time in the future become necessary tech again.

Our Spring Metal Drive is this Sunday, May 17th from 10am - 4pm at Methow Recycles in Twisp!

Some details:
- We accept all types of metal except lead
- Metal must fit in 4' x 4' bins, and not exceed 6' tall
- We CANNOT accept any cars, lawn mowers, hot water tanks, appliances, or anything containing fluids
- ONLY metal will be accepted during the drive - no other recycling (come see us during regular hours for regular recycling services!)
