bitterbrush superbloom

I've lived here for 54 springs. I don't recall ever seeing a bloom like this.
Love that spicy cinnamon fragrance!

Thank you for your report, Dave. It really is remarkable this year. We've taken to call the ground surrounding our home Fort Bitterbush. What a survivor in amidst a very dry spring.

We just hiked Bowan Mountain this morning and were amazed at all the blooming bitterbrush! The fragrance in the air was just amazing! What a beautiful valley we live in.
