TOMORROW @5PM: Official Twisp Parks and Rec Forum & Vote on Skatepark Location

Dear Methow Valley,
The Twisp Skatepark Coalition in partnership with the Town of Twisp and Twisp Parks and Rec, is hosting an Official Public Forum & Vote on the location of the Twisp Skatepark TOMORROW May 11th at 5:00PM at Twisp Town Hall/ Civic Center.
This meeting is for everyone, whether you live in Twisp...Mazama...Pateros... whether you skate or not, your input matters. No advance sign-up required, just show up.
The Coalition will kick off the meeting with a short presentation on the 4 different locations on the table for input and vote.

This is an opportunity to celebrate caring for youth in our community and incorporate elements of our community, at the same time. Once again, this is going to be accomplished by grants and donations only--NO TAX LEVY.
We're making something that everyone can get excited about. We're not talkin flimsy wooden ramps, or some vast, stark, shade-less crater in the ground. Think: Sculptural. Think: Islands. Think: Shade and native plants. This is going to be designed by users first and foremost to ride great, but it will be something that's visually-appealing, too, even to people who have never even heard of a skatepark.
