Come Learn About Bowerbirds!

The North Central Washington Audubon Society will host a presentation on the bowerbirds of Australia and Papua New Guinea on Friday, May 22, from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Winthrop Library. Steve and Melinda Pruett-Jones will discuss the evolution, ecology, and behavior of bowerbirds and the diversity of bower structures, which males build and defend in order to attract a mate. Their presentation will include beautiful photos of these amazing birds and information about where to go to see them. Free event, no registration required.
