HIRING! Afternoon Museum Host/Guide

Greet, welcome and talk with museum visitors about the Methow Valley, local history, technology, farming, agriculture, mining and geology, local historic sites - and learn about them yourself! As a museum host, you'll interact with guests to the museum, share Methow Valley history, and represent this place we call home to hundreds of visitors from all over the world.

Hours: Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday afternoons - 1:30-5:15pm
(Occasionally additional hours as needed & desired to fill in the schedule)
$19.00/hour
Seasonal schedule: Memorial Day through early October
Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues - Memorial Day through week after Labor Day, May 23-Sept 13
Sat & Sun only Sept 19. through Oct. 11

(Don't want to commit to the full schedule? Your college student not home yet? Planning a vacation during the summer? Reach out - we can likely accomodate. We often have folks with a partial schedule)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A host enjoys talking & interacting with all kinds of people: children, adults, elders, families, locals & tourists with a courteous, friendly and professional approach.
Light cleaning & tidying in the museum area, including wiping down glass cases, sweeping walks, etc. to care for the museum objects & spaces when things are slow.
Gift shop sales of books & postcards.
Closing the museum and securing the buildings in the evening.
