The Commissioners did not meet on Monday.
Tuesday, April 7, 2026, AM
• Commissioners brainstorm about events such as Highland Games or a Renaissance Fair that might help the newly formed Advancement Foundation for the Okanogan Fairgrounds raise money for the fairgrounds.
• The Department of Ecology is considering designating the Upper Methow Headwaters as an outstanding resource water in the water quality standards for surface water in Washington. Commissioner Hover wants to discuss the issue to see what the implications for the county might be.
• Kendra Duggar of Monster X Tours discusses a possible Monster Truck show at the fairgrounds. She will visit the county later this year to see the venue.
• Commissioner Neal says that he’s received several complaints from constituents over the county’s appointment of an interim sheriff with no election. Commissioner Hover says that people must not pay attention to county business. He’s been involved in multiple appointments of interim prosecutors, judges and two state legislators since he’s been a commissioner. The voters will have a chance to vote for a new sheriff in this November’s election.
