The Spring Hunter Education classes are coming up at the end of April. The Traditional (classroom) class starts the 27th and runs M-F from 6-9 PM, with a Saturday field portion at the Winthrop Gun Range from 10-2. There is live fire at the range, but PLEASE do not bring your own guns or ammo, we have what we need and controlling that is part of our safety protocol.

There is also a class for those who have taken the online class and need to get the in-person field course. That will be the same Saturday as above, at the range from 10-2.

You can sign up for a class online by searching for WDFW Hunter Education and follow the links to the class sign-up. There is no fee, but I do ask that you don't just sign up and then not show up. There are limited slots available and no-shows deny a slot for someone else.

Probably a good time to mention that we could use more instructors too. We are running pretty tight, and if we lose one or two instructors we might not be able to continue offering classes in the valley. Please consider joining. We hold two class cycles a year. There is some training involved in becoming an instructor.
