ISO of reliable vehicle for daughter
Hello All,
My daughter and I are looking for a reliable vehicle for HER first car. We are hoping to get something less than $4000 with fewer than 200k miles.
We’ve been thinking of Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota.
Several models within each make qualify.
Long-term ownership and maintenance history is a big plus.
If you have something you want to sell, please let me know.
Thank you,
Charles

Saw an ad for a 2010 Rav4 over in Omak today. "straight inside and out, has good tread on alloy rims $3800 OBO, well below Blue Book 509-599-6095"
That's all I know, but it might be a possibility.

Re: ISO of reliable vehicle for daughter
I am planning to sell my one owner 2006 Mazda 3—it has a bit over 151k miles on it and has been fantastic… but it's a manual transmission. It hasn't been in any accidents but has been bumped by someone trying to park behind it. If you're interested in a manual, let me know. It's the GTI trim: leather, Bose w/CD changer?!, heated seats, AC, remote mirrors… all work fine. I haven't researched pricing yet but would be under $4k.
One other thing, it's still on the factory clutch—I baby it. But at some point that'll need to be replaced. The timing belt is also factory I think—I'll have to double check the paperwork but I don't recall having that done yet.
FWIW, both of our girls learned to drive a stick—and are actually happy they can!

In regards to driving a stick; it took me all of an hour to teach the grandson how to drive one. Had him starting and stopping in a straight line in the high school parking lot going forward and reverse. Should not be that big a deal.

Kim,
Do you still have the Mazda? I would like to see it. Please let me know.
