Tappi's has new owners

Anyone have info on when the new owners will be starting up and whether it will still be Italian?

As of this afternoon (Thursday), there is a new message on the answering machine. The new owners "are local". They don't say who they are, but I suspect half the valley already knows.
They do say they hope to be open in February and are not taking reservations now.
