I brought my rain guage in when the freezing weather started. Anyone know how much rain has fallen in the Winthrop area in the last few days? Is there a website that gives rainfall measure through the Valley?

If you want rainfall data that updates with high frequency then your best bets are the Weather Underground observation sites (located throughout the valley) and the NWAC site at Freestone Inn. Here are some examples for yesterday (12/10) and the last three days (12/8-12/10). These data do not include this morning. Starting from Winthrop and moving up valley:
Wolf Creek Road (near Winthrop): 2.17" (12/10), 3.45" (last 3 days)
Upper Highland Meadow (Edelweiss): 2.62", 3.57"
Chechaquo Ranch Rd (Mazama): 3.06", 4.43"
Freestone Inn (sum of hourly data): 3.33", 4.07"
Lost River Airport - Doe Road: 4.83", 6.68"
For a bit of context, the long-term average precipitation for the month of December in Mazama is just over 4 inches.
The COOP sites in Mazama and Winthrop are probably the most reliable sources of data, but they post less frequently.

A couple sources I was just looking at:
-NWAC website has weather stations at Washington Pass and Mazama. Under observations->weather station list
-point forecast on NWS for anywhere nearby will have a link "3 day history" toward the top right pointed to data from the smokejumper base.
-Wunderground website forecast page for anywhere nearby has a header above the forecast with the third line showing temp, station name and a "CHANGE" dropdown. If you click the station name it will bring you to the station page. It will have weather history, which you can change timeframes (need to change to weekly or skip to previous days to see what you are asking for). At the top is a map with other stations you can click to compare them (some don't have good data, so you can check a few). Its interesting to see the amounts decrease dramatically moving downvalley from Lost River.I think there are other websites you can view these personal/private weather stations that might be better.

You should be able to leave your gauge outside during freezing temps by removing the slender central measuring vial. Let the big part gather moisture and bring it in to thaw, measure and record every day at the same time. This morning we measured 1.82" in 24 hours. Yesterday .83".
