We want your USED BOOKS!

Time to take a peek at what has been hanging out on your bookshelf and is ready for a new home! Trail’s End Bookstore is in the process of expanding their used book selection - currently two entire bookshelves are dedicated to finding used books new homes. As this is a new undertaking, we are currently able to provide a small amount of store credit per book that we accept.
Part of our philosophy as a small business is to be as kind to the planet as possible. One way we do this is by offering an excellent selection of high-quality, gently used books to our customers — hand-selected by our booksellers.
Used Book Acceptance Guidelines:
While we wish we could accept all used books, our small team can only handle a limited number at a time. Thank you for understanding and following the guidelines below:
Used books must be in excellent condition — minimal wear, crisp un-yellowed pages, unbroken spines, and if a hardcover, the dust jacket should be intact and not overly weathered. Paperbacks cannot have dog-eared, well-worn, or creased or dirty covers.
If accepted, we’ll offer store credit of $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. We’ll load store credit onto your customer account. You will also receive our gratitude for supporting both our shop and the planet.
To be clear: we cannot guarantee we will accept your books and consequently issue you credit, we are looking for only gently used books and so need to be thoughtful in what books we accept so that we do not run out of space.
If we do not accept some of your books, we will happily donate them for you. However, if large amounts of books that do not meet our criteria are brought to our store, we will unfortunately not be able to accept them, so please do take careful note of our guidelines. Thank you!
Used books may be dropped off during business hours (10 AM – 6 PM). We’ll ask for your contact information at that time so we can get back to you with how much credit may be on your account (if books are accepted).
