We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at Sun Mountain Lodge. The ideal candidate should possess a background in food preparation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. As a line cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation. Cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with the lodge’s standards. This role requires a dedication to maintaining high levels of cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Ched in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes based on seasonal menus and special requests form guests.
Ensure all food preparation meets the lodge’s culinary standards and follows prescribed recipes.
Coordinate food orders with the kitchen staff and communicate effectively to ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage of food and adherence to sanitation standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and implement new menus, considering dietary and nutritional requirements.
Monitor food stack and communicate any shortages to the Head Chef in a timely manner to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Adhere to all health and safety standards while handling food, including proper use of kitchen equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
Assist in the training of new kitchen staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities within the kitchen.
