Re: Extreme Heat Watch 8/23-8/26
The National Weather Service has now shifted this to an Extreme Heat WARNING from noon August 21 to 9:00 PM August 27. The high temperatures I'm seeing forecast for Twisp are even higher than those in the original post. Do not underestimate these conditions.
It's the limited overnight relief that makes this more problematical and uncomfortable.

I'm still seeing the Twisp warning as starting at noon tomorrow, Aug 23. Tomorrow night's forecast is 62°
We got down to 49° four miles south of Twisp last night. That was very comfortable and cooled our house. But I see it is getting real bad tomorrow.

Thanks RandySea. I was one digit off on the date.
The heat WARNING begins tomorrow August 23 at 9:00 PM. Sayonara to those more comfortable overnight lows for a while. Be careful out there.

I'm thankful we were able to have a mini split heat pump/AC system installed 3 yrs.ago. Makes all the difference, even though we can cool the house down very well most of the time without it. But with overnight lows where they are going to be, I'm sure we'll turn it on. We did get a rebate of some kind.
A good time to do indoor projects, while visiting the garden for limited times.
Hydrate, hydrate.
