Stand With Us on Saturday, July 5th, at a new time (10:00 - 11:00AM) in Twisp, south of the school bus garage. Celebrate the 1776 Declaration of our founding fathers in rejection of the authority of King George of England over the newly announced United States of America.
King George was accused of, in their words, these crimes and others: "Obstructing the Laws of Naturalization of Foreigners; Raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands; making Judges dependent on his Will alone; erecting a multitude of New Offfices and sending hither swarms of Officers to harass our people; keeping among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures; imposing Taxes on us without our Consent; For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences; and For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury."
Celebrate our Independence. May it continue. Bring a sign, bring a friend - and celebrate No Kings In America.
