Let me first say I don't know anything about banjos.

However, I am hoping that someone hereabouts has a banjo in reasonably good working order they would be willing to part with. Doesn't have to be anything fancy.

My girlfriend has been talking now for a little while about wanting to learn to play banjo and I would like to surprise her on her birthday with one she can start to practice with. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.

I really don't know much about Banjos but my fist question is whether you are looking for a 4-string or 5-string banjo?

I am learning so much about banjos in the past 48 hours!

I guess I am looking more for a 5-string banjo.
