Volunteers needed! Walk a mile for bears
Posted: Tue Apr 29, 2025 1:39 pm
Home Range Wildlife Research is seeking volunteers to help with natural food surveys as part of our Human-Bear Coexistence Project! You'll walk a 1-mile transect once per month from June-September, documenting the abundance of fruiting shrubs along the way.
This is a fun and easy way to get involved with your local wildlife conservation organization and get to know our Methow Valley landscape more intimately. Natural food surveys are a great way to get the kids up and moving, too!
If you'd like to volunteer, fill out this form:
https://www.homerange.org/community/get-involved/volunteer
OR send an email to bears@homerange.org.
You can learn more about the project here: https://www.homerange.org/research/human-bear-coexistence
Looking forward to seeing you out there this summer!
