Looking for ideas or examples of front porch roofs for manufactured homes and wondering if any MV residents have been in a similar situation. We'd like to build a gabled front porch roof, but our house has a shed roof on that side (uniform low-angle slope with composite shingles). As far as I can tell, this wouldn't work unless first add a gable/dormer to the house's roof. Sounds like it's important to keep any new additions freestanding to avoid the L&I headaches associated with modular homes. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of:
-Adding a gabled roof or dormer on a modular home?
-Tying in a gabled porch roof to a shed roof on a modular home?
-Building a shed porch roof that sits higher than the home's roof (probably an H20 and ice management nightmare, but thought I'd ask...)
Thanks! Cam @ 971-717-1334
