PSA for Gaia GPS Users

PSA for folks that use Gaia GPS, in the latest update to the app they quietly changed everyone's privacy settings so that all recorded activities are public, even if your settings were previously set to private. This was done without notifying users.

What you do with your data should be your choice, and this is not a comment on whether or not anyone should make their tracks public. Just a heads up to check your app's settings and make sure they still represent your choice.

See ya out there,
Elliott

Elliott, do you mean the default settings were changed or that you cannot revert manually to the previous privacy settings at all?

The default privacy setting is changed. You can still revert your account from "public" to "only you" under Settings > Account > Privacy and Default Visibility > Activity Privacy

Well, that's something. But changing without notice is still bad.
