air quality

Post by imageneen » Sun Nov 10, 2024 7:31 am

Is there a fire nearby or is the bad air just from brush burning?

There are still some smoldering slash piles down Alder Creek and up the side of McClure from burns earlier in the week, I think by DNR.

I was going to ask a similar question but looking at Purple Air I can see the air quality is poor across the Inland Northwest. We thought we might light a burn pile today, thinking the foretasted rain tonight would help alleviate any wildfire risk but will now hold off.

Hopefully a decent soaking overnight and tomorrow will help. There's obviously more to the atmospheric story than we're experiencing locally.
