Seeking Ham Radio
Seeking Ham Radio
Trying to fulfill a lifelong goal by getting my amateur radio license in the near future. Took a class back in high school but just couldn’t be bothered with the Morse code requirement for Novice license back then in the 90’s.... The 10 Meter band looks like a great place to start, and I can reuse some of my old CB equipment. Looking for any type, new or old, even non functional 10 Meter AM/FM/SSB/CW transceiver. Even if it’s just an older retro CB with Upper and Lower sideband to start. I can likely repair radios from about 1970’s and back if it’s something minor. Anything inexpensive would be appreciated. Or if you just happen to have any type of old radio equipment laying about and want to part with it, I’d be happy to take a look and attempt to identify. It’s always been a hobby in some form or other. Thanks! 206-335-5879.

Re: Seeking Ham Radio
We have an active HAM radio club in the valley, several repeaters, and perhaps a few old radios for sale. Feel free to check out the website: mvhams.net or attend a meeting. CB, HAM, and GMRS radios are a great alternative and reliable means of keeping in touch with your friends and neighbors.

Hi BensonBatsons, i have my amateur technician license and am only just learning! I would love to connect with the local group but I can’t link into the mvhams.net website for some reason, is there another way to learn about the meetings?

Try to cut and paste this whole string:
