FOUND!!! Missing Coonhound ANN SW of Twisp

Post by EAG » Sun Sep 29, 2024 7:59 am

UPDATE 10/3: Ann was found yesterday at the top of McLure by someone doing tower maintenance! So so much gratitude to everyone who was out looking in person or helping to spread the word.

UPDATE 10/2:
Ann is still missing and is believed to be SW of Twisp on the Twisp River side of Lookout Ridge. There have been no sightings of her since Saturday afternoon close to Alder Pass, but there have been possible detections (tracks, barking) since then near Lookout Mtn Rd. The location of the tracks could have her staying in that drainage OR dropping into Elbow Canyon or Poorman Creek.
She is mostly black and tan with a little bit of white with ticking. She is generally very friendly but may be in primitive survival mode now, so do not call loudly or chase if she runs. Just make note of location and get word to me as soon as possible. We really really need a sighting to know where to concentrate recovery efforts! She is terrified of gunfire, so I want to get her out of the woods before modern firearm season opens.
She was wearing a mostly black flat collar and a bright yellow e-collar when she left home.
425-765-5346. Call or text. If you don't reach me try 509-740-7972 and 509-997-2220 (both cell numbers, text preferred.)
Please and thank you! Any and all eyes on the lookout, whether actively searching or just keeping awareness mean everything to me right now. The best chance she has right now is for people to be aware of her and have some random sighting.

UPDATE 10/1:
Coonhound "Ann" still missing. Toby was found near Alder Pass on Monday. I believe Ann went over Alder Pass to the Lookout Mtn Rd side and is either still high up in that area or has gone down towards Twisp/Alder Creek/Elbow Canyon. Please please continue to keep an eye out for her anywhere between Carlton and Twisp, but especially anywhere in the Lookout Mtn Rd Vicinity. Call or text Emily 425-765-5346

UPDATE: Seen in Smith Creek drainage headed toward Alder Pass or Booth Canyon area on Saturday afternoon. Possibly heard off of Lookout Mtn Rd on Sunday midday. PLEASE text if possible (or call if not) Emily at 425-765-5346 with any leads.

2 dogs missing from Libby Creek - they are travelers and could easily have made it to Twisp River, Twisp-Carlton Rd, Carlton or Blackpine Lake. Missing since 7 am on Saturday the 28th.

Ann: Black/tan/white female coonhound. 35-40 pounds. Super friendly, would likely come to strangers. Black/green/blue flat collar and yellow e-collar. Chipped.
Toby: All black 50-55 pound male. He is an alaskan husky but often mistaken for a shepherd, or people think he looks like a wolf. Aloof with strangers, unlikely to let himself be captured. Blue collar with salmon on it. Chipped.

Please call/text with any information, location of sightings. I will be in and out of cell range in the areas where I am looking for them. 425-765-5346. Alternate numbers to text (preferred) or call if I can't be reached immediately are 509-740-7972 and 509-997-2220 (BOTH CELL NUMBERS).

Thank you!!
Emily
