Donations for fire loss?
I have clothes and other items I can donate to people who have lost homes from the fires. Is there anywhere local that is collecting donations?

The Methow Valley Interpretive Center at TwispWorks is collecting camping gear, clothes, cookware, etc., for people on the Colville Reservation. That's the giant Kaiser fire.

Yesterday they had a sign posted saying no more donations. Check with them to see when they will start again.

Hi,
I took a truck load to the Colville collection site in Coulee Dam yesterday and
they seemed well stocked. When they saw I had pet food, they told me they’d just received a pallet or more! So best to contact directly to see what they really need at the time you donate. I’ll also stress: don’t give junk, dirty or worn out stuff or things they just don’t want. Pre-sort, organize into bags or boxes and label those. They are operating a small warehouse, so take the extra steps to make it a little easier on their end!
