This is a Pacific Water Sports (PWS) Sea Otter Kayak in excellent condition. It is 16½ feet long and will fit someone 150-200 lbs. It can carry lunch for a Patterson Lake day paddle or food and gear for two weeks travel and camping on the outside of Vancouver Island. I did many of those Vancouver Island trips in my previous Sea Otter. The one I'm selling has had a much gentler life.
This was one of the last ones made before PWS began shutting down, so it's Lee Moyer's final and best design of this boat. It's a great, stable boat for long tours, though still fun for day paddling.
It weighs around 60 pounds. It came with an excellent Feathercraft rudder, though I have rarely needed to use the rudder. This kayak tracks and turns well without it. I mostly find the rudder useful when I'm doing bird photography from the boat.
The boat has been stored indoors or in a covered carport since I bought it. I'm selling it because I'm pretty much only doing day paddles and wanted a smaller and very light boat.
